Family Time: Afraid of dragonflies? You can hold

Learn more about some of nature’s fantastic flyers at Zumbro Valley Audubon Society’s Damsels & Dragonflies.

“Dragonflies and damselflies look ferocious, and they are ferocious predators, but kids can handle them quite easily,” said Joel Dunnette, Zumbro Valley Audubon Society member and event organizer. “The location we’ll meet at, near the water, allows us to see a variety of adult dragonflies and damselflies. Hopefully, we can see some of the aquatic form of these insects (nymphs), as they spend most of their life in the water.”
