When members of the Rochester Public Schools Foundation took stock of their BooFest decorations, they found a scary sight.
It wasn’t decorative ghosts or skeletons but fungus that gave foundation members a fright. The environmental controls at the facility where the decorations were stored malfunctioned and mold claimed most of the items.
“It wasn’t just a little mold,” said Melissa Amundsen, RPS Foundation president. “The stench was horrible and it was unsafe to be in there for very long without protection.”
