The boys swimming and diving season has just started in Minnesota, but this past week Mayo senior Grant Reeves was already going as fast as he could.

When the Spartans opened last Thursday, Reeves was in Austin, Texas, taking part in a junior nationals event for club swimming. Reeves competed in six events and was tapered for the meet, in an attempt to post his best possible times.

“I always try to go as fast as I can, but in high school, you can try to work on specific details,” Reeves said.
