ZUMBROTA — Heavy snow apparently collapsed the roof on Minnesota’s only remaining covered bridge Sunday.

With about 9 inches or more of snow falling Saturday night through Sunday morning, the pitched roof of the historic structure was pushed flat from snow.

Built in 1869, this year would mark the bridge’s 150th anniversary. The roof was added in 1871, according information on zumbrotacoveredbridge.com.
