Junior hockey: Grizzlies' inaugural season a success on many fronts

Uncertainty was the best word to describe the feelings of the Rochester Grizzlies front office prior to the team’s inaugural season in the North American 3 Hockey League.

Over the past nine months, that uncertainty turned to hope, and then to some fairly lofty expectations for a first-year program.

But thanks to smoothly run game-night operations, a strong presence in the community, at schools and youth hockey practices, and – perhaps most importantly – a competitive, winning team on the ice, the Grizzlies brought fans back to junior ...
