Samantha Gisi, a home-schooled sophomore from Oronoco, recently earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT test.

The ACT, a curriculum-based achievement test, measures what a student has learned in school, specifically in the areas of English, math, and science. A typical ACT test-taker is a junior in high school and only about two-tenths of 1 percent of the students earn a 36.
